After upgrading the throttle control of a powerboat, the trim switch centered on the dash became obsolete, as the switch was relocated to the throttle arm. I decided to replace the outdated trim switch housing with a carbon plate.
The project was straightforward: print a mold and vacuum-bag the part. The sharp angle around the mold's inside edge made the lamination process challenging, resulting in multiple attempts. By adding extra cloth in the areas around the sharp corners and applying greater overall forethought into the layup, I eventually achieved success.
